Home Sweet... Cabin?

I am so tired of unpacking (it feels like all we've been doing for a solid month now is packing and unpacking), so I thought I would take some time to blog about our new little place. Yep, it's a log cabin. Apparently it used to be someones fishing cabin and then it was converted into a two bedroom house. It's got some quirks (no door to the master bathroom, walls that don't go all the way up to the ceiling in our room, and no central heat) but it's a place of our own and we're getting comfortable here. There's also no dishwasher, but strangely enough that makes it feel like home since we've never had a dishwasher in any other place we've lived on our own. The place also didn't have any carpet (just the sub flooring, painted), so Patrick learned a new skill and laid carpet in all the rooms so Kaiya could walk and crawl around comfortably. You might be wondering why we chose this place with all the disadvantages. Truthfully, it was one of only two choices, and this was the better one. But really it's not as bad as I'm probably making it sound. I love the layout of the house and the yard is very secluded and serene. It's really pretty. Although we probably won't stay here very long, we like it for now and are enjoying having a place of our own.

That house is awesome! I love the shrubbery around it. It looks fun! I can picture you and patrick sitting on the porch with wheat grass in your mouth, and a shotgun in the background. Home is where your heart is right?
